Drones
The drone market will reach $100 billion by 2020. While the military will still be the largest consumer at $70 billion, hobbyists and commercial enterprises are quickly capturing a growing market share at $30 billion. With companies like DJI Innovations creating affordable technology, drones will soon become the mode of operation for a number of services including surveying, journalism, emergency relief, and package delivery. One forecast predicts an influx of $80 billion in the U.S. economy from drone commerce in the coming decade. Additionally, the product itself opens up room for manufacturers specializing in drone software, hardware, energy sources, and navigation systems.
